The story of Forrest Gump is one that immediately draws you in. Tom Hanks did it once again with the leading role of Forrest Gump. The supporting actors and actresses in the film were just as amazing and did not let Hanks outshine them too much. Robin Wright Penn played Jenny, his love interest. Sally Field played his mother, Gary Sinise was Lt. Dan, and Mykelti Williams was Bubba.
Forrest Gump, an forgettable character who loves his moma. He is good natured and cares about other people, only that nobody talks to him because he’s slower than the normal people. What makes you appreciate and bond with the character is that he has so much enthusiasm and good will. He does as told, runs and keeps running until he is told to stop. As the film begins, he is sitting on a bench probably waiting for the bus, telling strangers the story of his life, in a trance like he’s talking to himself. The people keep boarding their buses but he continues his story with the box of chocolate. his love with his childhood pal Jenny. She could have been a normal kid only if wasn’t for her abusive father. She becomes a hippie but continues to write to him. He comes back and meets her, takes care of her. They share some of the sweetest moments together.
